Almost time !

Well, my extended year in North Carolina is almost over.  Soon I'll be headed for IL to find out where I will live next.  I'm still hoping for The Goddess to get me and fight off any abductors!   It's been a long time since I put anything on my blog, as Pat always says "Later".   Well, I wanted you to see that the elephants who find their way to this house are getting stranger all the time.  Yep, this one is not only purple, but it's holding a rose in its trunk!

Yesterday Pat got to pet a live bunny, but she didn't bring her home.  (Sniffle, sniffle.)   Here's a pretty elephant picture to cheer us all up!

Throwback Thursday

You can barely see little Patty Sue in the howdah (alt. houdah) on this elephant's back.  Little did she know she would grow up to live with an elephant!  This one was in a fairy tale park in WI or MN in the 50's.

Is today my birthday???

Wow!  Today Pat came home with three presents for me!   First,  I got a pretty pink onesie with a flamingo on it.  This is because my goddess likes flamingos, and maybe she'll get me at Christmas in July/August.
Also, I got a huggable elephant doll and a ring and earring holder elephant.  I'm one happy pachyderm!

The year of the elephant?

Seems like we see elephants everywhere in stores, magazines, on tv.   This picture was on Facebook, and I'd sure like to know the story behind it.   In stories elephants are afraid of mice and say "eek" a lot.  Maybe this elephant decided to carry his own cat as a mouse deterrant!

As we all know, Pat is a Golden, and Goldens like thrift shops, ergo Pat likes thrift shops.  So yesterday she was out with a like-minded buddy, and they found  (are you ready?) a doll-sized elephant suit!!!!    It fits Suz, an ancient Tiny Tears, though Suz didn't seem too happy about it. Luckily, Pat also found Suz a white fur coat, so all's well.

The info with this picture said baby elephants do this when they get upset.  I never did this when I was a baby, and I sure wouldn't do it now either.

In a horseless open sleigh !

This morning it started to snow and hasn't stop.  This afternoon I couldn't take it any more and said, "Let's go play in the snow!"   So Pat dug out a warm jacket  and a hat for me and a hat for the ball, and we went outside with this lovely sleigh.  First I posed on the porch, then we found a bunny slope to try out!

New baby elephant

So I'll be moving to a new home after Christmas in July in August, and this house will be elephant-deprived.  The other day, Pat adopted this little girl to fill in for me.  She decided to name her something that sounded East Indian and came up with "Chrisumar".   Do you see where that came from?  

I saw my name in print!

Turns out it's the name of a comic strip.   Should we sue?
