Here I am, all dressed up to party hardy, in a velvet dress, curls, and tiara! Imagine my disappointment when Pat told me tonight's big event is something called "The Possum Drop". I'll be staying home with Larry and wearing my flannel outfit after all.

This must be the year of the elephant.
Everywhere Pat goes, she finds more pachydermabilia. Who knew it was possible to find a teddy bear in a Santa hat holding an elephant? For 10¢ !!!!!!!!

Timeless literature
The other day I got this great book to read over and over again. Pat brought it home from the dump. I guess I shouldn't be offended, because she gets things for herself there, too. She said to tell you she'll be explaining the process in an email soon. (As for me, I'm staying away from that place!)

Merry, merry Christmas !
Well, here it is: real Christmas day. As I posted a few months ago, I just can't wait until Christmas in July in August to reveal what my latest permanent possession is, so I'm doing it today. In my history as family mascot, each family I've stayed with has added something: a paint job, a giant ball, a pretty pink scarf, a Christmas scarf , and George's addition of ear studs. When Pat took me to her house after getting me from Sandy, she looked me over and decided what I needed. Larry and the lady next door said they could repair or remodel my broken ear, but Pat said it was part of my history and should stay as is. Here is a way for me to stay me, but to conceal the injury if I should happen to have a blind date. TA DA !
The second shot shows the versatility of my hairpiece as I can pull it longer for the Lady Godiva look. We tried different colors on me but decided I'm a natural blonde, maybe because my Goddess who brought me to life is blonde. Also, it's very curly like William's hair.
What do you think, everybody? Please leave comments here or on Facebook!
Love and tinsel tickles,
Sally

Christmas finery
I got to play in the cat and doll Christmas clothes and like these two outfits. Also, here's another thrift store story. The other day at the humane society's store Pat found a zip lock bag stuffed full of doll Christmas clothes for 50¢. Inside were 2 dresses, 2 jackets, 1 pair of pants, and 9 hats (one with a beard attached).
DON'T FORGET TO CHECK HERE TOMORROW FOR THE REVEAL OF MY NEW FOREVER ADDITION !!!!!!

Y'all aren't gonna believe this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK, so Goldens tend to be fans of thrift shops. Just when you think these fascinating emporia have yielded up their ultimate treasures, along come not one, but TWO elephant ornaments!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited! Pat says I should choose one, and she'll keep the other to remind her of our year together.
P.S. Just so you know Pat still has the Golden touch, she got these, two other ornaments, and an apron for $1. Tragically, after her purchase was made, Christmas items went on 1/2 price.

To honor rescue workers.
Moonbird just got this new shirt and said I could pose in it. Of course, we appreciate all rescue workers, but specifically this is for Grandpa/Uncle Larry, founder of Gallivantin' Goldens and for Cliff Lucht, our local friend who volunteers and trains all the time.
