Are you ready for Halloween?

We're working on it.   If you look closely at the first photo, you can see Tess, Chissie, and Sammie  admiring the trick or treat cats.  Since we won't have children coming to the house for candy,   the  two big black cats are on display at the gym this year.   Two other dressed up cats are on loan at the vet's office.   I'll wait until Halloween to show you my costume!

Romping in the garden

Two years ago when Larry and Pat started their vegetable garden, the neighbor said they should plant marigolds around and among the plants, and she gave them some seedlings.  In the fall Pat harvests the seeds from the marigolds to plant the next spring.  As you can see, the marigolds do well and grow thick.  Pat thought the property could be called "Marigolden Acres"!
(For any readers who aren't of the Golden clan,  family headquarters in Arkansas is called "Golden Acres".)

Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer

These two cats sit all day on this beautiful settee.   One day they made room for me to join them!

Am I about to be abducted by aliens???

Nah,  just playing with Larry's spaceship lamp he bought in Roswell, NM.

Here are pictures from his and Pat's 2004 visit to Roswell.   Note the street lamps!
(See the post with the speed limit sign in front of the museum.)

Looks good to us.

I keep hearing that the White House is a mess, but Chissie and I can't find anything wrong with it.

Can you name two cool things about Brevard, NC?

#1  It's in Transylvania County!!!!!!!!!!    That's right, Igor!

#2  White squirrels live there!  No lie.  They have a little black on the top of their heads, like Chissie, but otherwise they're white.  When Larry and Pat visited there,  they saw a toy store called O.P. Taylor's, so of course they went in, and of course Pat bought a white squirrel doll.  Here she is, and her name's Aunt Bea. (Also of course.)

Patriotic cat

Too bad this guy isn't a dog.  We could call him Yankee Poodle Dandy!

Here's a crazy mixed up guy~

OK, basically, he's a smiley face.   But, he has a body, and he's green instead of yellow.   On top of that, he's wearing a Davy Crockett outfit!  I like him!

A wolf in sheep's clothing?

You would think so until you pull his hoodie off his head and find that he's a bear!
