Remember Dumbo, the flying elephant? I couldn't get off the ground, even with Chissie's supervision.

Yesterday we went up to the garden and dug taters.  Larry and Pat said it was too bad they weren't mutants like the squash.  They're just normal size, but they're real pretty.   We wore granny hats to protect our pale skin. 

Hi, everybody Golden!!    Crazy Cat Lady started this blog for me today, but she asked me to stop calling her that first.   So now I just call her Pat.   (But she really is a crazy cat lady.  There are even cats in the print of the guest bathroom wallpaper!)    Here are pictures of me with the biggest cat in the house, a tiger named Lilly.  (Get it?  Tiger lilly?)

Not since Hannibal's campaign have elephants crossed the mountains,  but our little Sally Forth is spending the year with us in the mountains of Western North Carolina.   Initially, I set up a Facebook account for her, but it got too busy, so she suggested a blog.   Here's my first attempt!
